Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, a Team Guide Africa representative will greet you and transfer you to your accommodation in Arusha. Here, you can relax and unwind in preparation for the adventure ahead.

Drive Time: Approximately 2.5 hours

Your safari begins at 8:00 AM with a scenic drive through the Maasai Steppe via Makuyuni Junction, heading towards Tarangire National Park. Known for its breathtaking landscape of ancient baobab trees and the meandering Tarangire River, the park is a haven for diverse wildlife.

During a full-day game drive, you will have the opportunity to observe large elephant herds, along with lions, leopards, buffalos, zebras, giraffes, and numerous antelope species. The park is also home to over 500 species of birds. A picnic lunch will be enjoyed at an observatory overlooking the river, where you may witness thrilling predator-prey interactions.

Rise early for a sunrise game drive, a perfect time to spot nocturnal wildlife and observe predators returning from their hunts. As the sun rises, the plains come alive with activity.

After breakfast, you’ll continue exploring Serengeti’s diverse ecosystems, searching for elephants, giraffes, gazelles, and the elusive leopards. The park offers an unforgettable experience with its vast open landscapes, dramatic predator-prey interactions, and rich birdlife.

Drive Time: Approximately 4 hours

After breakfast, enjoy one last game drive in the Seronera Valley, a wildlife-rich region in central Serengeti. Your guide will use their expertise and radio communication with other safari guides to locate the best wildlife sightings.

Later in the day, you will depart for the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, arriving in time for dinner at your lodge, perched on the crater rim.

Drive Time: Approximately 4 hours

After an early breakfast, descend 600 meters into the Ngorongoro Crater, often referred to as Africa’s "Garden of Eden." The crater’s enclosed ecosystem supports a dense concentration of wildlife, including the Big Five—lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo, and the rare black rhino.

Enjoy a game drive across the crater floor, stopping for a picnic lunch at the hippo pool. In the early afternoon, ascend the crater rim and begin your return journey to Arusha or the airport for your onward travel.
