Overview:
Your safari adventure begins with a day trip to Lake Manyara National Park, one of Tanzania's most scenic and diverse parks. Known for its lush greenery, alkaline lake, and abundant wildlife, Lake Manyara offers a perfect introduction to Tanzania's natural beauty. The park is famous for its tree-climbing lions, large elephant herds, and incredible birdlife, making it a must-visit destination for nature and wildlife enthusiasts.

Program of the Day:
Morning:
Your professional tour guide will pick you up from your hotel in Arusha or the airport. You’ll be provided with a lunch box and bottled water as you begin your journey to Lake Manyara National Park.
Mid-Morning to Afternoon:
Enjoy a thrilling game drive through the park, where you’ll have the chance to spot elephants, giraffes, zebras, hippos, baboons, warthogs, buffalos, and if you’re lucky, the legendary tree-climbing lions. The park is also a birdwatcher’s paradise, with over 400 species of birds.
Lunch:
At noon, you’ll stop for a picnic lunch in the park, surrounded by the sights and sounds of nature.
Afternoon:
Continue your game drive, exploring more of the park’s diverse landscapes, from the lake shore to the dense woodlands.
Evening:
After the game drive, you’ll be transferred back to your lodge in Arusha (or your chosen accommodation) to relax, enjoy dinner, and spend the night.

Covering an area of 330 sq. km (127 sq. miles), Lake Manyara is a compact yet stunning park. Up to 200 sq. km (77 sq. miles) of the park is covered by the lake itself during the wet season. The park is renowned for its biodiversity, including large herds of elephants, primates, and the unique tree-climbing lions.
